Underwater Mateable Rubber Sealing Connectors

Hydro Bond underwater mateable rubber sealing connectors are designed for deep sea applications down to 5000 ft, (1524m). Each contact, cable and connector housing is chemically bonded into a synthetic rubber matrix. This construction prevents water ingress to the cable cores even when the connectors are unmated. A positive "stop flange" indicates when the fix ring is fully engaged and prevents the connector from being overtightened.
Once mated electrical isolation between contacts is achieved by means of individual rubber cylindrical sealing arrangements. Disengagement is made easy by the fix ring which jacks the connector apart.
Specially designed contacts ensure excellent electrical conductivity. The connector shells are manufactured from S316 stainless steel. Alternative metal shells to suit customers individual requirements can also be supplied.
